Hello.
Our apologizes for such a long time between updates. But the truth is, it maybe just as long until the next update here at ersatzaudio.com. Why you might ask? Well, allow us to explain.
For those of you who don't know - Ersatz Audio is run by a staff of 2
humans. We are Adam Lee Miller and Nicola Kuperus, we are also in the band ADULT. We have been running Ersatz Audio since 1995 (that's 10 years!) we have also been in the band ADULT. since 1998 (that's 7 years!). As of late, we have found it VERY demanding to be both label heads and band members.
So, we have decided to take a break from the label for a little while (and no, we are not interested in getting employees to run Ersatz Audio but thanks for asking) . This does not mean Ersatz Audio is over, far from it, and we will still be running/maintaining the MAILORDER section of this site for example. It just means that we are taking a much needed break from Ersatz Audio after 10 years to concentrate on ADULT.
So what does this mean for ADULT. A LOT. ADULT. have a new 6 song ep entitled D.U.M.E. coming out this spring on the fantastic and equally independent Chicago label THRILL JOCKEY!

They deserve a break for all their hard work which will be good in the long run for the band, life can inspire them to make more music instead of working on the site all the time.

Sorry for the long delay in updates. Things should be updated more frequently now as we have a lot going on this year.
First up, is our new 6 song CD/12" ep entitled 'D.U.M.E." coming out April 12th on the amazing independent Chicago label THRILL JOCKEY. Some sample MP3s are in the RELEASE section now.
Secondly, we will finally be playing some new shows. Here is our Spring schedule. Please note: all shows are with GOLD CHAINS AND SUE CIE (San Francisco) and GENDERS (Detroit).

And thirdly, here is where we stand currently and why the tour above isn't a full tour. We finished up recording for the new "D.U.M.E." ep around the first of Dec. '04. Currently (Jan. 1 - April 15) we are writing all the songs for our next full length album (it will come out October 11 on THRILL JOCKEY as well). Then are small mini-tour above. And then we have to go into the studio May 16-31 and record the album. So as you can see these are all the dates we could do at this time... but fear not if you are in a city not listed above. We will be doing more shows starting in the summer and an extensive tour in the Fall for the album.
